Munich, 11 December 2007

AURELIUS expands its executive board and provides a basis for further growth

At its meeting on 10 December 2007, the supervisory board of Munich based listed industrial holding AURELIUS AG (ISIN DE000A0JK2A8) appointed Donatus Albrecht and Ulrich Radlmayr as new executive board members with effect from 1 January 2008. Thus the executive board that currently includes Dr. Dirk Markus, CEO, and Gerd Purkert, who is responsible for the realignment of the investments, will then consist of four members.

Donatus Albrecht has been leading the acquisitions department at AURELIUS for almost two years. He holds a degree in economics from Munich University and has worked for Deutsche Bahn AG, for Thomas Matzen Group and for Alta Vista Equity Partners.

Ulrich Radlmayr studied law in Hamburg, Aix-en-Provence (France) and Munich. After completing his legal clerkship, he worked as a solicitor for P+P Pöllath + Partners for five years, focusing on Private Equity and M&A, before co-founding AFR Aigner Fischer Radlmayr in 2006. From the beginning of 2006 on, he has been a legal advisor for all acquisitions and activities in connection with the capital market undertaken by AURELIUS. As executive board member he will be responsible for the finance, legal and tax department.

"As we are counting on at least six to eight acquisitions also in the coming year we are aligning our organisation with this rapid growth. That way, we are laying the foundation to attain the sales volume of one billion", says Dr. Dirk Markus.

AURELIUS AG, Munich (www.aureliusinvest.com), acquires mid-sized companies and corporate spin-offs which are no longer part of the core business of the previous owner. AURELIUS acquires companies even when they are in difficult and complex situations and actively grows and develops them. Using its own specialized Task Force, AURELIUS increases the value of its investments to the benefit of all parties, with particular awareness given to its social responsibility. The shares of AURELIUS AG trade under code AR4 (ISIN: DE000A0JK2A8) on the Open Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
