SCHLEICHER ELECTRONIC with a sales growth of 76 per cent in 2010

Berlin, 17 January 2011 - Due to a rapid growth in sales of 76 per cent in 2010 according to the preliminary figures the well-established Berlin-based company SCHLEICHER ELECTRONIC has mastered the challenges of the difficult financial year 2010 very well.

The worldwide financial and economic crisis had severely affected the company resulting in an extreme decline in sales in 2009.

“Due to this strong growth and incoming orders of more than 20 Mio. euros in the past financial year we will be able to continue the growth path successfully in 2011,” says Managing Director Christopher Nolde with confidence.

SCHLEICHER ELECTRONIC was acquired by the Munich-based industrial holding AURELIUS AG in 2007. Gert Purkert, responsible for SCHLEICHER ELECTRONIC within the AURELIUS executive board: “Although the year 2010 faced enormous difficulties worldwide particularly in the electronics industry, our Berlin-based subsidiary SCHLEICHER ELECTRONIC is back in business again. This is a very pleasant and promising development.”
